FAQ:
1. What should I wear to yoga?
For yoga, it's best to wear comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. Yoga is often practiced barefoot allowing for better grip and a grounded experience, improving balance and alignment.
2. How should I prepare for yoga class?
-
Eat a nutritious meal about an hour before class. Enough time to feel energized but also digested.
-
Stay hydrated: Hydration is important for muscle function and flexibility. Drink water throughout the day, and make sure to hydrate before and after class. Avoid drinking too much right before class to prevent feeling bloated or uncomfortable during your practice.
-
Arrive early: Arriving 10 minutes early helps you settle in, choose a spot, and get comfortable. It also gives you time to ask your instructor any questions you may have before class begins.
3. At Class
-
Be kind to others and the space: We create a calm and respectful environment for everyone to enjoy.
-
Leave any judgments at the door: Yoga is a personal journey. We encourage self-compassion, and it’s important not to compare yourself to others.
-
Practice within your means: You know your body best. Every day is different, and it’s important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly.
-
Don’t practice through pain: If something feels wrong, stop, and speak up to your instructor. Your well-being is the most important thing!
